Jakarta, 20 June 2019.

Located in the Moral and Kesamaptaan Development Center (PPMK), the Chairperson of STIP Jakarta Capt. Marihot Simanjuntak, MM, symbolically handed over seafarers’ skills certificates to 143 participants of the Community Empowerment Training (DPM).
The DPM activity that had taken place some time ago was carried out in collaboration with Sunda Kelapa KSOP and Marunda KSOP.
Besides being attended by STIP Jakarta structural and functional officials, as well as representatives from each KSOP, this activity was also attended by representatives from the North Jakarta regional government.
In his remarks the Chairperson of STIP Jakarta stated,
“This activity is a skill activity for all seafarers especially those who will work in the maritime industry throughout the world, therefore the certificates currently being distributed consisting of
Basic Safety Training (BST). Advance Fire Fighting (AFF) Security Arwareness Training (SAT), is a certificate that is recognized by the world, especially in the maritime world.
He also added that with this certificate (BST, AFF, SAT) it was hoped that all participants could improve and gain new knowledge and skills so as to improve welfare,
both for yourself and your family later “.
