The Ministry of Transportation c.q Transportation Human Resources Development Agency through the Jakarta School of Shipping, continues to produce competent seafaring experts specifically for the Nautical and Engineering majors.

Capt. Marihot Simanjuntak, MM as the Chairperson of STIP Jakarta, installed 167 participants of the STIP Seafarers Training, consisting of ATT IV totaling 22 participants and ANT V totaling 91 participants and ATT 5 totaling 54 participants.

In his speech the Chairperson of STIP said “In accordance with our theme today which is” Empowering Seafarers on Maritime Transport to Support Sustainable Social Development “it is hoped that the newly appointed Student Officers can develop themselves innovatively by providing suggestions and ideas that are useful for progress the world of shipping.

To meet the demands of the maritime world at this time STIP has increased the standardization of its educational programs including the achievement of the RPL program or diploma equalization program, as well as the ability to speak English for all students with the “Marlins Test” program in which the certificate of test results is recognized by the whole world.

And in closing, I would like to thank the Lecturers and the entire academic community of dedication in educating the Pasis, so as to arrive at the inauguration stage at this time. “
