Today (24/7), STIP received a visit from the Mitsui OSK Lines team, Ltd. one of the largest shipping companies in the world to STIP Jakarta, namely Junichiro Ikeda as President & CEO of Mitsui OSK Lines, Ltd. to STIP and Yo Ishizaki as President Director of PT MOL Indonesia.

This golden opportunity was certainly welcomed by the Jakarta College of Shipping (STIP) with a welcoming reception from the Chairperson of STIP, Capt.Marihot Simanjuntak, MM and all structural / functional officials as well as lecturers involved in the Seafaring Training Program in Cooperation with Mitsui OSK Lines, Ltd. . Also present were the cadets who practiced the real work of the company and the alumni who were still active as sailors at the large company Mitsui O.S.K Lines, Ltd.

The visit continued in the maritime meeting room, with the presentation of the STIP Company Profile and Mitsui O.S.K Lines, Ltd. Training Center Indonesia, the event was relaxed and harmonious.

The next event was a visit to several educational facilities such as MOL Classrooms in STIP, Engine Room Simulator, Lab. High Voltage, ECDIS Simulator, Bridge Simulator, and Lab. Ship Power Plant.

An extraordinary welcome was felt by Mr. Junichiro Ikeda implied in his speech that he did not expect to be as good as this and hopes that STIP was more advanced so that cooperation could continue to become an opportunity for STIP to expand cadets and graduates of STIP to join the world’s largest shipping company, Mitsui O.S.K Lines, Ltd.
