Representing the Chairman of STIP, Capt. Supendi, M.MTr, as the Head of Academic and Administrative Administration (KBAAK) officially opened the 4th batch of Community Empowerment Training (DPM) activities on the STIP campus.
The opening of the 4th DPM was marked by embedding participant marks and giving training uniforms and other supplies to the participants’ representatives symbolically.
This internationally certified training is carried out with the aim to provide training and increase maritime insights for the people of Indonesia, especially young people. Quoting the STIP Chairman’s remarks delivered by Capt. Supendi, M.MTr,
he said “This DPM is one of the government’s flagship programs to improve the ability of the Indonesian people to be able to compete and work professionally, especially in the maritime world, and this program is free, free of charge. So this is an extraordinary opportunity that you can get, which not all can get.
So that we hope that all participants join this DPM with enthusiasm, uphold a sense of discipline and prioritize safety in implementing the training. The number of participants who took part in the Community Empowerment Training was 34 participants from the Greater Jakarta National Maritime Academy (Amanjaya), with the following types of training:
1. BST Commerce (9 days of implementation)
2. AFF Niaga (4 days of implementation)
3. SAT Niaga (1 day of implementation)
Also present at the opening of the training, Dr. April Gunawan Malau, S. Si., MM. as the Head of P3M STIP, Titis Ari Wibowo S.SI.T., M.M.Tr. as the secretary of P3M STIP and Capt. Yuliana as Head of the Nautika Amanjaya Department and several STIP employees.
