The Regent of the Meranti Islands Regency, Drs.Irwan, M.Sc, along with his group made a working visit to the STIP Jakarta campus.
The arrival of the Kep Regent group. Meranti was welcomed by the Chairperson of STIP Capt. Marihot Simanjuntak, MM, who was accompanied by STIP Structural / Functional Officers.
In his speech the Regent of Kep. Meranti conveyed “a thank you to the Chairperson of STIP and the entire academic community who have given such a warm and family welcome, one of our goals in coming to STIP is to make friendship while strengthening friendships and cooperation that have been forged, even extraordinary. , there have been many of our communities, namely the Meranti Islands community, who have received training and education in Certified Community Empowerment Training (DPM) such as BST, AFF, SAT, CCM, and from this training Meranti residents have been accepted to work in the maritime sector and have an impact directly towards increasing welfare and decreasing the number of unemployed people in the Meranti Regency.
On the same occasion in his speech the Chairman of STIP Jakarta, Capt. Marihot Simanjuntak, MM, said “welcome to the Regent and representatives of the DPRD member of the Meranti Islands, who have been willing to attend the visit to the STIP campus, hopefully the presence of the Regent and representatives of the DPRD members of the Meranti islands can strengthen the friendship that has been going very well. At present, this is proven by the Community Empowerment Training Program (DPM) which is currently running well and in accordance with our expectations, so that the benefits can already be felt by the community, especially the Meranti community “. After the welcoming activity was completed, the event was followed by a visit to various facilities of STIP Jakarta campus, including the Bridge Simulator, Engineering Room, the Training Pool area and several other places.
